Adopted in plenary session, in the Year of Our Lord 2021.
✠Article the First. There shall be a Club, and the Club shall be the Jäil Anglers.
Article the Second. The Membership shall consist of the Founding Triumvirate, and such persons as the Triumvirate may, in unanimity and in writing, hereafter admit; provided that no admission shall be made in haste, and no admission in writing shall be admissible if the writing is electronic, save by the Committee's particular indulgence.
Article the Third. The Waters of the Club shall remain unenumerated in any public document, correspondence, ledger, or utterance not enclosed within a sealed envelope addressed to a fellow Member. The unspoken Water is the soul of the Establishment.
Article the Fourth. The spinning rod shall not enter these Premises, nor shall it be discussed save in the manner of regret.
Article the Fifth. The Treasury shall be administered by the Treasurer-in-Confidence, and its sums shall not be a matter of open discussion among the Membership, much less abroad.
Article the Sixth. Each Member shall be furnished, upon admission, with a Title of suitable gravity, and shall be addressed accordingly in all formal correspondence.
Article the Seventh. The present Charter may be amended only in plenary session of the Triumvirate, upon a unanimous show of hands accompanied by a written record entered upon the Register, of which no copy shall be furnished to any party not a Member.✠
